Won't go over 4800RPM's...HELP Please?!?!?, 94 celica will not go over 4800rpms in any gear Options

so basically i have a 94 celica, 2.2, 5 speed hoping to do a 3sge but Im still working on getting some of the wiring together before I jump into this.... but first comes first Im using this car as a daily driver right now and Im stumped.... the car runs amazing at idle and low RPMs but as soon as i get up to 4800rpms the car bogs down and falls right on its face in every gear 1st-5th... ive done spark plugs, ignitor, wiries, cap, rotor then new distributor. This pretty much happened out of no where one day it was fine the next day it started to do this. Ive taken it to toyota lol they told me my cat may be clogged so thinking they are the professional i listened to them and guess what? they were wrong.... the timing is the only thing i can possibly think of but i dont want to take it all apart and that not be the problem... any ideas would be greatly appreciated.... while you guys try to help me out im going to do more research on your site about the 3sge wiring. I work at a performance shop so doing the swap isnt hard we put v6's in 92-95 civic hatches so Im sure we can figure out this wiring but still need a little help. thanks in advanced!

you guys are great i did the fuel filter and reset the ecu and that didnt help... so my last option is take it apart and check the timing... thanks so much for your help on this issue.... as far as "beating" on my car lol and not shifting before 4800rpms my car takes off great but as far as going up hills it definately loses a lot of power i just dont like something being wrong with my car... before this happened my car was an animal between 4000-6000rpms i dont redline until 7500 so its ok to shift at 6000... well i see this is going to be fun any ideas on where to get the diagrams for as far as the timing? Maybe you guys are right maybe i should just put the beams motor in and call it a day... they want 1800 for the motor, 6 spd lsd tranny, ecu and wiring & its from japan under 50k miles.. didnt want to do this until over the winter i have 90% of the info just missing some ways as far as what ecu i can use to tune without doing an safc or anything... thanks again you guys are wonderful... definately my favorite site!- i will do as many posts as i can thanks again!
