Hey everyone,
so its not a TOTAL loss because I have a near completed 3S-GTE sitting in the garage. but was wondering if it would be semi-'easy' to repair this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTWFLFDgtow so I can get the engine finished... any help or suggestions? Thanks, Kevin |

if you want my advice.. replace that rod. it was under tremendous heat/stresses and you should be able to see that its discolored (if you can see through the oil buildup). its probably slightly bent or out of round, and reusing it will cause the same failure. replace ALL rod/head/main bolts with new toyota bolts. get the crank checked (it may be able to be saved).
