I want to install some tweeters in my 96 celica, i was wondering how was the best way of doing it? I was going to wire them staight to the front speakers from the radio and them mount them on the sides of where the radio is located, is there any trick to install them or can i just wire them together with the front speakers?

I thought GT's had tweeters? I guess I was wrong.
Anyhow if they are not there, the best thing to do would be get a "crossover". Which (everyone is different) will allow you to have the front speakers and the tweeters working together. And getting the right frequency for tweeters mainly. If you just wire them together it will work, just wont sound the best, and im sure it messes with the ohms of it and all (not real important with low power like front speakers) But anyhow the interior mirror covers are the best spot for the tweeters. Just look, there is a triangle piece that pops right off, and you can drill out a whole for the tweeter and it will look great (make sure the whole if the right size). Also with doing it on the sides, if you dont like it or whatever its going to be more expensive to replace those pieces than the small triangles. I have a crossover with my rear speakers, and tweeters and it sounds really good. I had it just wired up before with no crossover, and every "low bass" note the tweetes just didnt know what to do lol. Sounded really bad, but the crossover fixed it and they are quite cheap GL ![]() -------------------- |
