When I release the gas pedal over 2500rpm the engine makes a weird noise I can't reproduce. It sounds like the engine is having a hard time, like if something's grinding. You really have to pay attention otherwise you may not hear it but it's mostly noticable in 2nd and 3rd gear. It seems to do it more often when the engine is hot. I tend to always clutch down everytime I release gas to avoid this weird sound.
Does anyone know what it could be related to? Thanks. This post has been edited by dudeofchaos: Oct 12, 2010 - 12:08 AM |

i don't know if that is the same as what i experienced before. it makes a high pitch sound and it gets away when i press the clutch even a little.
what i did is spray white lithium grease near the clutch fork in the engine bay. i don't know what it's called. there is a rubber that you have to remove before you can spray it. but you only have to be careful not to spray too much specially on the side of the clutch otherwise you might be into another problem. |
