Is there any (relatively) cheap way to increase low end torque on the 7AFE besides decreasing car weight?
Would an Injen intake or a K&N 57i europe kit help? Different exhaust? Unlike stated last year, I still have not gotten a new car, so I'd like to make the most of this one without serious mods while it's serving me. -------------------- You say you love flowers but you pick them, You say you love animals but you eat them, I fear the day you'll tell me you love me.

advance timing and run higher octane fuel
intake exhaust header air/fuel tune reground cams increase the compression ratio or put in stronger pistons with stock CR and boost it. keeping stock CR means you won't be as laggy off boost. -------------------- |

run higher octane fuel Unless you suggest running race fuel, premium pump gas will have no effects on performance vs regular. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

run higher octane fuel Unless you suggest running race fuel, premium pump gas will have no effects on performance vs regular. with 15deg base timing set I could see a consistent difference in knock counts on my safc between 87, 89, and 93 octane fuel. not only could I see a difference in knock counts, I could feel a difference in how it ran at full throttle. the 7A likes a little more timing, but really needs either slightly colder plugs or higher octane fuel...or both to take the best advantage of it. -------------------- |
