Car - Toyota Celica 1997 ST. 7AFE.
I was driving at about 60 - 70 mph. I accidentaly shifted in to reverse while driving like 3 times while trying to change to 5th gear. Each shift lasted like 3 to 4 seconds in reverse at those speeds. ![]() ![]() |

since I'm pretty sure reverse doesn't have a synchro, then just as everyone said you were grinding two gears against one another. Therefore It's in your best interest to get that tranny oil changed asap. Last thing you need is metal shavings floating around in there. And that drain plug magnet cant catch all of them. Luckily its easy and shouldn't cost too much.
