so when i start my car, usually on cold days, i hear kind of like a mix of scratching and rattling in the engine bay. I say scratching cause i found out that when i press the clutch the sound goes away. When I let go it comes back. Now this is only when i start the car and it goes on till i drive. After driving it's not present. Since the sound goes away when i press the clutch i was guessing somewhere along the "Clutch disk rubbing on the flywheel" area. Any input will be greatly appreciated thanks.

remachining pretty much means grinding your flywheel so that the surface the engages the clutchdisc is even. You can also remachine Brake rotors and all that jazz. a local shop should be able to do this for you for cheap. $20 here if i remember correctly. Thanks alot for the info! I was thinking I would need to reballance the flywheel too. -------------------- ![]() |
