Ok I have been looking on Ebay at these coil overs, but I've never heard of there brand name, so yeh I am gonna try to avoid them.
What kind of coilovers do you guys have? and How much did you pay for them? I want anywhere from a 2" to 4" drop. that and do I need to buy new struts if I get them? sorry about all these questions but thanks in advance! -Brandon -------------------- ![]() |

The only reason the dropzones seem to have a choppier ride is because the spring rate is different. With the GCs you can specify any spring rate you want. I don't know about the dropzones but if they won't do it, just buy the collars and buy 2.5ID race springs from somebody else. The only real difference between the different coilovers other than springs is the craftsmanship and how they lock. The GCs use a collar that is slotted and has a screw that clamps it to the threaded body. All the others use a perch and a lock nut. Theres really nothing fundamantally wrong with either type. I think the GCs are easier to adjust, but unless you're doing it a lot, its not an issue.
If you're going to lower the car a lot (more than an inch) or drastically change the spring rate then you need new struts. I would suggest the konis. |
