3rd and 4th, need speed in high gears... Options

well.. my 95' celica gt is completely stock.. i have absolutely no mods yet.. ive raced it a few times.. and when i get beat.. ive always gotten taken in 3rd and 4th gears.. i cant seem to get any acceleration past 1s and 2nd.. i was wondering what beggining/basic mods would i need to increase acceleration in my higher gears.. thnx for the help..

personally im not a nitrous fan, but with your situation it seems like the best path... turbo setups and changing gear ratios on your transmission takes money and alot of down time... stuff it sounds like you dont want to have to deal with, granted nitrous can be expensive too, but if you do it correctly and only on occasion (like not every weekend) the 5sfe should handle it to some extent as long as you dont go too big. granted it is the ricer weapon of choice, but it looks like you are pretty happy with how your 1st and 2nd gear and are and, as i am, annoyed by the lag once you hit 3rd, go for the simple solution, just spray it
just do some regular bolt ons then get a nitrous kit like ZEX, and if you want more, sell the nitrous and have your car out of commision for a while like many people on here and go for a swap/turbo.
