well.. my 95' celica gt is completely stock.. i have absolutely no mods yet.. ive raced it a few times.. and when i get beat.. ive always gotten taken in 3rd and 4th gears.. i cant seem to get any acceleration past 1s and 2nd.. i was wondering what beggining/basic mods would i need to increase acceleration in my higher gears.. thnx for the help..

Also there are tricks to just going in a stait line faster. If you have a standard..... no wait. If you dont have a standard then its not worth racing. OK, assuming you have a stick shift, start in 2nd gear. In faster cars you can start in 3rd gear but my 5sfe cant take that(it'll stall), so 2nd gear first and then if i'm not mistaken shifting early will encrease speed(faster).
