Kenwood amps are ok. Your audiobahns will need plenty of power. Personally I like MTX amps but I am a little biased after working at one of their dealers. Many people here suggest US Amps. I have heard good things about them but have never used them.
Just remember that a quality amp will cost $$$. All quality amps will be rated in rms or continuous power because it is a more accurate measure of an amps performance. With three subs you'll have a little less than a 2 ohm load on your amp. Make sure the amp you choose is capable of this. The 8101D is rated at 400w x1 at 2ohms. 1000 max or peak power. That means you'll get about 133 watts to each of your subs. One last thing a true 1000 watts rms amp will draw a lot of current. Some where in the area of 100 amps. Our stock alternator is 70 amps. You will be putting one hell of a load on your charging system. (Just something to think about) |
