for a week or so, my 96 celica gt 5 spd has had an issue shifting in the cold.
the point at which the clutch actually grabs gets closer to the floor as the outside temp gets colder. its grabbing right at the floor right now. i tried starting it last night and (i leave it in first) i put my foot on the clutch, turned the key and the car lurched forward. i shut it off, pulled it out of gear and started it. the pedal now stays on the floor and wont come back up unless i pull it up. Im not sure what the issue is, why the cold weather brought this on. i drove it last saturday and it was perfect, shifted fine. before then if it was cold, it would just shift rough until the car was warmed up. then it was fine |

check the fluid level, if you don't have any you need to figure out where it is leaking. Most common is at the slave and at the back on the master cylinder under the dash by your feet.
It is also possible if you have fluid in the clutch reservoir that the master cylinder is on its way out -------------------- 2nd Gen 3s-gte.... It lives!
