Okay so earlier i asked what would be better for me regarding my two celicas and i decided to switch my st into a gt. I have a gt and st, but i want the hatch (st) instead of my coupe (gt). I looked around on here for how-to's but i didnt find any. This is my first swap and its a temporary thing until i sell my coupe then i will buy a 3s and replace the 5 from the hatch. Can someone guide me on doing this swap? thanks!

dont listen to any of the nay sayers, OP. if you want to put in a 5S then more power to you. follow the sticky on installing a 3S-GTE into an ST. its going to be very similar. the wiring might be a but of a hastle bbt since you have the harness for the 5S, it might just plug into the junction box with no worries. you will be able to use everything off your coupe, the engine, tranny, and axles.

are these both manuals by the way? if you are doing this to autos that might be a little more work.

Yea I just started the process, I rather put in some work and gain some experience and free parts. My hatch is a 7a auto and my coupe is a 5s which is a manual. Ima try to just replace everything basically switching shells. Thank you all for your opinion.
