 Power window is having trouble going up |

Today when I went to make my window go up, about halfway, it stopped. So I took it back down a bit and brought it back up and I could hear the gears inside slipping and slowly but surely, my window made it back up. Would this be that the gears are loose? Or is the motor going bad? It's the driver side window, if that's relevant.

My passenger window is the sluggish one of the 2 aswell
