Here is a question that's driving me crazy with my build, and in general....
On the gt-4, is it ok 2 vent the BOV completly 2 atmosphere?? I ask this because I have noticed a lot of pics of st205s with a small hose that goes from the BOV into the airbox inlet, or aftermarket pipe that is designed for recirculation. Unfortunately when I received my swap, I did not get the airbox piece 2 connect my blitz dd 2....so I mounted it right off the IC outlet with a vacuum line on other end, as for my intake there are no hoses attached 2 it, just a big K&N filter on the end with a sensor after that in the intake tube. Is this ok 2 do, or should there be some recirculation from the BOV back into the intake??? And also the little black box that sits right behind the IC, that also shows a hose being plumbed into the intake, I just put a breather on that, is that a problem??? |

Josh, If you're concerned you could use a forge splitter, but that is really just for the VW guys that have MAF sensors. They want a little of that blow off sound, but need to have the recirculation as well, but as was said before....the 3rd gen uses a MAP sensor that negates the need to recirculate. So at this point it's really up to you. As for the hoses being connected to your intake.....it wouldn't hurt to have them hooked in. It's not 100% necessary to have the one connected from the factory oil catch because some people change that out for an aftermarket unit. My question to you is," Where did you put your IAT?"
