Curious as to if i can use a harness from and obd1 harness for my car that is obd2 when i swap so the car is not down as long, so are they the same from a 94 to a 96?

I don't think so. IIRC, the OBDII harness has a cam/crank angle sensors while the OBDI harness just has the cam position sensor integrated into the distributor. Without the crank angle sensor, you will throw a CEL. There might be other differences, but I definitely know that.
