do rusted calipers affect braking? or is it just surface rust and cosmetic? so if i just sand the rust off and paint over it, would the rust come back just like how rust comes back on body panels?

also... uh... if you paint rotors to prevent rust... whch parts of the rotor should you paint? the whole thing? only the front? back and front? just the middle part that sticks up?

I paint my rotors with high temp spray...and I paint the whole lot.

Once dry take the car out slowly as first few times you will get virtually no braking, after a few miles of gentle braking all the paint is gone and you are left with a rotor which is painted right up to the pad contact point smile.gif
