I just put a new axle in my car about 4 days ago. This is the driver side and it is on the 7afe. I noticed that the day after I did this the transmission is leaking where the axle goes into it. Now the little metal dust cover got bent when I pulled the old axle out. Could the leak be this bent dust cover because that does not seem like it could be. Or is it possible that I messed up the seal in the transmission when I shoved the new axle in there? Just wondering on some expertise here before I go tearing into the car again because that was a little bit of work pulling that axle and I want to know what it could be before I do this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

dont take the dust shield off, it has a purpose.
its a "Dust shield" lol. it helps keep dirt and what not out of the seal, so that they dont start leaking as quickly from contamination. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
