I'm reading the TWM instructions posted in Batman's 7th gen shifter install thread, I found them here.

Anyways I have a spare shifter base so I thought I might try my hands at removing the stick but I cant get the pins to budge, and judging by whats in those instructions, mine looks different to the USDM one...

I installed a TWM shifter last year in my car (ST205) and I also noticed that the JDM shifter is different than the USDM one.

You will need to pry off those circle clips, then you will be able to use a punch and an hammer to take the pins out. I also had to break the white plastic part that holds the shifter arm, it's no big deal if it's not there.
