I was told today by several people that redlining your car every now and again (about every 2 weeks or so) keeps it in tip top shape because it helps burn off carbon buildup from driving at low rpms and keeps everything nice and limber.
Any thoughts? -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

idk how true this is for our little low liter engines. It may be true for the big block v8s because of the amount of fuel and thus carbon they build up to "blow them out" sometimes but for ours i dont think its needed, and redline is a little excessive, i agree with bitter.
