1994 GT4, the filter and piping is HUGEEEEEE! I thought of changing all this for a cold air intake or short ram intake...good or bad idea?

Totally up to you.

If going the cold air route then good luck with your plumbing. you'll be doing things like moving your battery, angle grinding the battery plate, relocating the fuel injector resistor pack and extending its loom, fabricating a custom radiator overflow bottle, fabricating a box like rusty, fabricating an S-bend intake pipe, fabricating a cold air ram pipe. Good fun, and a really nice touch, a bit lacking in the performance per dollar department though.

Short ram quick and easy and cheap, You lose a bit of response and power, but the sound of the turbo spooling up every time you lean on it... it seems to put a smile on my face
