So, today, i took the celi to th mechanic. Ive had a oil leak.. need to know where its coming from. They hoist it up, n tell me it good be various things. Apperently they think its my head gasket...

find the leak yourself and tell him specifically what to replace, by the sounds of it he wants to charge you a full days labour to rip apart your motor since he has no previous experience with your motor, he doesn't yet know what he's looking for.
I wouldn't blame your mechanic for doing so, but since it seems he lacks the experience with the celica you best find another mechanic who has worked on atleast half a dozen 5s-fe vehicles, you may find your fix is more like $150 instead of $1000 -------------------- Mike W
