molding ain't easy.
if i could do it again, i'd use better materials and a better paint gun. but in the end, i was somewhat disappointed to have put so much work and still see little cracks and voids which i know will only get worse. anyway what's done is done. sigh* this was taken from the yahoo japan auction page (3000 yen buy-it-now ![]() ![]() label behind the lip ![]() test fit one half of spoiler. october 2010 ![]() test fit with bumper off ![]() here you can see the gap running along the edge ![]() ![]() primary cut ![]() ![]() another test fit to see if the lip wraps and reaches the fenders ![]() ![]() two metal brackets riveted to bottom of lip ![]() bondo ![]() ![]() more cutting and bondo ![]() ![]() sanding ![]() shaved holes from front emblem ![]() ![]() clear primer ![]() heavy primer ![]() ![]() basecoat ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() primered the grills (then painted with a metallic gray flake) ![]() clearcoat ![]() ![]() finished ![]() ![]() -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
