So I'm new on this forum. I'm a frequenter of the Toyota Nation forums as I used to have a heavily modified Camry (yeah, laugh, I know you want to) but due to a semi recent accident, my baby was stripped from my arms, and I have found a 6GC to rescue.

I found her in a field, next to a old house, just rotting. It was such a depressing sight to see a white ST204 with the "GT-S" package sitting unused. I asked the owner how much he wanted for it and he said he's been trying to sell it, but gave up and let it be a lawn ornament. He didn't want to let it go cheap. I had to pay $2,400 for it... which I kind of regret, seeing as how much I've got to put into it to get it back to normal. But so far, she has satisfied me more with her M/T 5S-FE than my '99 Camry 5S-FE did even with all the mods.

I fell in love with her as soon as I sat in her dusty, musky interior. The leather wrapped steering wheel felt fantastic in my hands, the shifter, used as it was, felt comfortable and fit my in my palm like it was meant to be. I agreed to the asking price and took her home. Since then... well she's been a pain in the ass at times.

For a northern car, she's not too rusty... but she does have the typical 6GC rust under the doors.

I plan on keeping her for as long as possible and repeating my path with the Camry to eventually get her ready to autocross.

Just saying hello to everyone here and I hope to use this forum to help me in my paths from engine swaps (BEAMS Red Top is planned) to just plain maintenance.
