Hey everyone,
sorry, but I'm in Japan atm so I dont know all the details, but my car is sitting at a mechanic's shop (who hasn't even really touched it) but is saying that the pressure plate is probably shot. its only been in the car for 6-7 months, and my dad said he heard the throwout bearing chatter then things started going out and he replaced the slave and master cylinders then the clutch wouldn't disengage at all. I think the throwout bearing came undone or something, which makes me wonder if there is a difference between throwout bearings in a 5S and 3S and I might have been sent the wrong one on mistake. I got the kit from http://www.dxdracingclutches.com/ and I haven't heard anything from them yet, so I'm looking for alternatives for a clutch kit if the Pressure plate is actually shot. but I really need to get this figured out ASAP, so if you have any thoughts or recommendations please let me know, Kevin |

i believe they are the same. but im not 100% sure. Southbend has excellent customer service. if you can call them talk to Andy in the imports dept. he can help you out. I have installed over 100 southbend clutches in celicas ranging from 5th gens to 7th gens. I have southbend clutches in every one of my cars. EVERY ONE! it might be an installation issue. its too bad i didnt install it.
