 Front speakers wont work |

So the other day I was driving and listening to music when I herd a pop and then the front speakers kicked in. I suddenly realized that this whole time my front speakers never worked. So for about 3 minutes they were on and it sounded great, sadly they turned off again. I'm not sure what could cause the rear speakers to work and the front not to. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I know theres some ok ones on amazon for around $50, think I should just but a new unit instead of trying to fix it now?
What do you think? get a new one. a radio without the ability to plug a phone or ipod in, is too old anyway lol
theres one at best buy (crossgates) for the same price too, if you dont want to wait on shipping, has the same things, plus a cd drive. there was like 5 of them when i went a few days ago to get mine -------------------- I've spilt my heart into this car :) And I don't ever plan to stop  - 6GC for Life - >Semper Fi< 1994 Cupra :p 3sgte 1995 Celica ST DD 1969 Chevelle SS alllll balls.
