The interior of my 1999 convertible has seen better days. I've already replaced the headliner and sun visors, but the seats are shot (note.. dealer put in aftermarket "leather" that was always crap), shifter boot has holes in it, carpet is worn to where you can see the wiring harness under it, and front mats have holes in them.
I'm planning to get seat cover replacements from leatherseats.com, and I found a good deal on a shifter boot on ebay, but I'm having a heck of a time sourcing a new carpet (all of the premolded ones say "do not fit convertible") or OEM mats. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |

id do some junkyard hunting or even search the online used parts places might find a nice clean one, just make sure there willing to send pics of exact item. weird how every 6gc shares alot of the same parts but carpets are different! you can also get a carpet thats not your color if thats all you can find (say tan carpet when you need black) and call up some upholstery places and see if they can dye automotive carpet, dont use the spray stuff it sucks and dont work, but a dye works as it soaks into each fiber. but a upholstery shop could tell you more about that...
