Hey guys,
My boost cut is set at 12 PSI, the standard that we all know about, but i have an emanage blue running and wonder if i simply remove boost cut whether or not the ecu can manage the limit of 17psi without any additional tuning (not that im not intending to) just not at the moment. Any advice on the limit of our ecu? |

Two reasons why i said that. One is because people tend to not install a Fuel pressure gauge to see what they are setting their pressure at. Too high or too low than stock can have obviously detrimental effects on your engine. Secondly some stuck up folks out there think this cheap and easy method to free up some horsepower think this is either ghettor or dangerous. It can be (IMHO anything dealing with fueling can be or engines or cars in general) but if you do things smartly and research first it really is an effective way to take your 540cc injector and increase its output by a slight percentage and therefore get slightly better fueling. Its not soemthing i would do (by itself) for a high hp build, but if i didnt really want to heavily modify my 3sgte and just wanted a few extra hp, then sure why not.
But in the long run, nothing can replace a proper setup with new injectors ( or ported), tuned ECU, and proper FPR/fuel pump combo. Read up on these articles/video for what i mean. true they represent a differnt engine, but the method and such is the same. http://www.stealth316.com/2-fpr_upgrade.htm http://www.hotrodhigh.ca/Pressure.html -------------------- (\__/)
