I found these pictures online, I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy dry sump parts for the 3sgte. I never knew anyone sold them.
For those of you that don't know what "dry sump" is...it's opposite from the 3sgte's normal "wet sump" style. A wet sump sucks the oil from the pan and the oil is used and then drained and held in the pan, a dry sump setup eliminates the oil pan, the oil is sucked out of the pan and held in a bottle. This allows the engine to be mounted lower in the engine bay, which gives the car a lower center of gravity. Most high end sports cars have the engines designed this way to drop the engine mass about 3 - 5 inches. It helps on cornering.

Try talking to the guys over at cantonracingproducts.com and see if they have any ideas for you. Ive heard that they have worked with 3s oil systems before. Or you can ask on the toysport forums or fensport folks....
What do you plan on using a dry sump system on btw? And why? Are you having oil starvation issues or will you be doing something that would require it? EDIT: Btw your interest in this has caused me to google search my booty off and i came across this article on toymods.au... http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conv...nstruction.html also think racerx from the MR2 forums is making dry sump systems as well http://www.racerxfabrication.com/page1/page1.html Honestly though, for a dry sumps systems complexity wouldnt a crank scrapper/windage tray be better idea for most applications?
