Ok so as most of you know, I just moved to Australia from the states. When I was leaving I was selling a lot of my stuff for some extra cash. I sold my iPhone 3GS on eBay. Well most things I ship I drop off at a shipping center they package it jup for me and tell me how much owe them. Everything always goes fedex or priority mail. However, in the haste of last minute packing (shipped the phone the day before I left) I didn't catch it when the idiot behind the counter sent the phone parcel post. The guy put a claim on my account and I shipped it out July 6.

I believe the guy is going to just try to keep the phone and the money. Any suggestions? As you know, parcel post does not carry insurance or a tracking number. Fail

On electronics (especially phones) I would keep track of the IMEI/ICCID/MEID numbers, so that if this ever happened you can call and find out if it is registered/in-use.

It's sad to see that this is such a large loophole in the system that if you do slip up and don't get tracking someone WILL try to rip you off.
