 remote central locking issue |

Im having issues with my remote central locking, neither key fob unlocks the car, (1999, SR) I've found the security system ECU, behind the dash, but was hoping id just find a loose wire or something, all looks ok, dont suppose anyone has any ideas???
Its not alarmed, but does have the standard imobolizer which isnt activated (hazards used to flash if i unlocked the car manually rather than use the remote) Also fond a box with Toyota TVSS just behind the gear stick, has a variable setting, but not sure what it does? any help would be appreciated. try replacing the battery in the FOBs.. i know that can cause weird issues, too
