Ok, I have 1997 Toyota Celica ST 1.8L limited edition. The car has 184XXX miles on it. The car is a automatic. Starting about three months ago the idle has become low when at running temp. When I'm in stop and go traffic for more then 20 mins I have to drive two footed or the car will die. When it does die it takes about 40 mins before it will start again. There are five codes that come up today when autozone read the codes. Those include: P0401, P0110, P1300, P0120, and P0401 again. The car has had a tune up in the past month(plugs, wires, rotor, cap, didn't get a new fuel filter). Had a oil change about 200 miles ago. I just don't know what is going on with this car. The throttle body has been all cleaned up also. any help would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks, Daniel aka Celica1997 |

Ok so I have been working on my car all week. I took all of the intake system off my car (throttle body to the injectors everything! I got two cans of throttle body/ intake cleaner and went to work! Lol. There was a LOT of carbon throughout the intake system. The egr value was completely blocked. Cleaning just the egr value took almost a whole can of cleaner. Anyway I got the whole system clean and looking good. Replaced the vacuum lines. I also changed the fuel filter. Then I ran the car on the highway for about 10 miles and took it back to autozone to pull the codes. This time the only codes that comes up now is the P1300. P1300 is a igniter circuit malfunction(no.1). Could my spark plugs be gaped wrong? Is it my ignition switch? Is it my msd ignition? Or is it something else?
Thanks, |
