Hey guys,
I just tried to swap out my rear break pads on my '99 GT. I removed the only bolt on the caliper and from what I've read from other threads the caliper was just supposed to swing up but it didn't even with a considerable amount of force. What am I doing wrong? |

E-brake is on both sides, inside the enlarged rotor hats.
If one side showed significantly less wear, check for whether or not the caliper may be seized on the pins. To be clear, there are two bolts on the rear calipers, it's just one is hidden and is only responsible for holding down one of the slide bushings. And by the way: brake, not break. You want your brakes to work, so you don't break your car. |
