I need to get advice on putting headers on my 95 GT. Never done this before, but guessing that it is a matter of just removing the old exhaust manifold , and reconnecting the new header up to the exhaust, and bolting it back in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can't drop a lot of cash, but would like to get the best quality I can for the money. Any suggestions on brand, and who to order from would really help too. Also need to know if I need to do a lot of work under the car, or can most be done right under the hood. Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

in my case it really wasnt hard at all, at first even i was concerned on doing it on my own, so i paid 80 dollars for installation 1st time,

but now with my engine being removed and worked on so many times, i realized its not hard at all, in a scale of 1-10, i would call it 3,(about as hard/easy as replacing sparkplugs)

its pretty much bolt on.
i used ebay sure2win headers. about 115 if im not wrong.

Thanks for the info. Will check out the sure2win headers.

Check out the info section there's a how-to on installing header on 7afe. And I figure the 5sfe wouldn't be much different from the 7afe. Its real easy you just need some stuff like wd-40 and let the engine cool and soak the nuts om the head to the exh. Mani. And then on the second piece soak the nuts with it and just work at it. I did my whole exhaust in a day. I removed my whole exhaust and rewelded new pipe in most spots and I put tip on to. Its easy if you have the resources available. Good luck modding your celi.

EDIT: as far as the underneath(idk if that's spelled right) or on top of car its about half and half. If you have car ramps they'll help a lot. But a floor jack and a couple jack stands will be ok.

Thanks Matt. By the way how much hp do you really gain??
