Hello fellow 6GC'ers,
I tried searching for the answer to this, but I guess I either am the first person to ask this or I just suck at research. I have a 94 GT with a 3rd gen 3SGTE swap in it. I currently have my boost turned down to about 8lbs. Before I get into the problems I have, I just wanted to know if the 3S needs a fuel cut or not? Also, if it does, is it the 4 wire or 5 wire one? Please let me know as soon as you can. Ok, the reason why I have my boost turned down is because when I have the boost set to stock (14lbs), I get a sputtering, as if the car is struggling to pull whenever the boost hits a little less than 1 bar or higher. Please let me know if this could be because of not having a fuel cut installed or if it could be something else. I already put in new cap, rotor, plugs, wires because I thought it was my ignition system. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I also have a AFC Neo hooked up to the car as well if that changes anything. -Thanks, Ryan |

Eh Rav, ordered a PowerTek boost controller, its coming from the UK, should take just over a week to get here, it says it comes with detailed instructions, but i will probably be hittin you up for info.
apparently from what i saw you install the T valve on the little vacuum line that goes from the turbo to the wastegate...right? turbo side goes into one side of T and wastegate on the other, then there is the set screw for adjustment on turbo pressure, correct? cant wait, think i will set it for 14-15psi, think thats a little higher then stock, but fuel should be able to keep up with that....instead of 18psi!!! price was $67. shipped, figured that was pretty good, its a kit |
