3VZFE gets 185/189 for years 92-93. Years 94+ got 200/209 hp/tq. With no mechanical differences, only a different tune. Fixing Toyota's ****ty Y-pipe has been proven to gain you at least 20hp, bringing it up to the same as the 2JZGE.
The truck version, the 3VZE, makes 150/180. I'm biased to this motor as it is my choice for swap. I've researched it for the last 3 years or so, reading any and all build threads I could find. Back to the topic, if you want to spend the least amount of $$ on the rebuild/swap/turbo, the 3vz is the way to go as it will handle more power with a simple stock rebuild, if you choose to rebuild it even. If you are willing to spend more $$$$, go for an MZ series block and rebuild with forged pistons and rods. This setup should have the ability get you more power than the 3vzfe, AND a better power to weight ratio, making it even faster, and maintaining the better weight distribution. -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated.
