 oil question |

So I feel my car is burning oil a bit too quickly, is there anything I can do to stop this? I use Mobil1 10W-30 and now with Purpolator pure1 oil filter and I've put a little extra oil in there (how much should a 7afe take anyway?) Should I up the oil to a thicker grade? Also the mornings are getting colder and winter is coming so should I just stick with 10W-30?

my 7A would 'burn' oil where I had to fill the oil twice a week... there was never any sign of oil on the ground. turns out I had worn rings, and a massive rear main seal leak. sounds like its coming up to rebuild time. how many Miles?
