 oil question |

So I feel my car is burning oil a bit too quickly, is there anything I can do to stop this? I use Mobil1 10W-30 and now with Purpolator pure1 oil filter and I've put a little extra oil in there (how much should a 7afe take anyway?) Should I up the oil to a thicker grade? Also the mornings are getting colder and winter is coming so should I just stick with 10W-30?

I have to put 1qt of oil every thousand or so miles. and I would do a rebuild but I only plan to have the car for another year or two then I'll be getting a newer car...then i'll prob do the rebuild when I dont need to rely on it as much lol
