my parent gave me an option:
give away my celica for trade for a new daily driver for their use. like a altima or corolla or something along those lines. and they'll let me have their 2001 audi a6 2.7 twin turbo. is it worth it? i mean i love the celica but honestly its not really reliable. lol i only got a chance to drive it 8000 miles in the past two years and it had like 3 engine replacements already (3rd happening now) the audi has 148K miles, body wise good. valve cover leak. maintance: oil changes are free and i know how to do basic stuff like brakes sparks plugs coils etc. does anyone here have any experience with this car? good for a college freshman? whats are good mods for this (checks the audi forums, many people are rich trolls who just say take it to audi and drop a 4.2 v8 twin ...much like the 3sgte mod here with the celica) any suggestions? -------------------- For Sale:OEM tail lights - make offer

Personally, I'd say: trade accepted!
First and foremost, it's newer than your Celica and, if your parents have owned it since new, you know it's service history and the issues it has. This is highly favorable if the car is paid off (I assume it is) for a college freshman as you'll only really be coming out of pocket for basic maintenance and gas. That means more concentration on school and less hours at a job that will affect your GPA which will affect your future job prospects possibly. Also, I'd hold off on the major mods and just look into things like an better air intake system, if there is one, and the best mod possible: keeping it in good condition. Good luck either way. -------------------- Has no more Celicas
