yea but at the end of the day that car is still a mr2 im not saying its bad to do just I think instead of using a good car like the mr2 the video its cool to build a car like that but when yougutting a car tothat degree I would rather use a wrecked car that's is no longer on any use as what it is

You could use a what ever wreck, fire, and flood damage MR2 if you wanted to. But at the end of the day when all is said and done, do you want to drive and invest $20k on a wrecked salvage frame? Or would you want to invest $20k on a clean title mr2 that give you Toyota reliability, great mid engine handling, and is still a safe frame to drive around in?

I understand what your saying that is a waste of a perfectly good car. But who would want to convert a completely rusted out pinto into a lambo and after the conversion you get the craptacular handling and safety of a pinto?

Another way to put it is like Polishing a turd, and the end of the day you still end up with crap.

The last reason they chose to use a nice clean MR2 was because it is a promotional video. They want to give confidence to the future buyer you will be driving a safe car. Most people see wreck cars as death traps even if they are properly repaired. So associating a death trap to anything you want to sell is never a good idea.
