So I start my car and I see a crap load of white smoke coming out of the muffler. Now my car is revving high in 2k. Im guessing this is head gasket issue? If so, how hard is it to replace and should I replace the whole gasket ordeal or just the gasket itself. I'm not looking to put much more work into the car as it'll have a newer engine. If I could just replace one simple gasket and get away with it for 4 months, then it'll work. I guess it wasn't good to let it sit for so long and not starting kindasad.gif

white smoke is burning oil.... head gasket issues usually result in antifreeze in the pistons. Does antifreeze burn white? idk I've never looked it up... but oil definitely burns white. i don't know if I would jump straight to head gasket. monitor the situation and measure your oil to see if that's what's burning. also measure coolant levels and keep tabs. My first instinct reading this was rings.... but I could be wrong and it could be something much more simple.
