Hello,
I'm new to this forum, but not new to the site or the Celica. I'm 16 years old and I'll be purchasing my car of choice very soon. Out of any car in the world, I'd rather have the 6th gen Celica, the body and look just amazes me. It's 100% class. Anyhow, I have a question that just may decide which car I get. I know there is a 3S-GTE engine swap, and it can produce high numbers. But, I have another in mind. I've been thinking of this engine swap for a while now, but I don't know if it can be done. So, I pop the question. Can I drop the 3.0 Twin Turbo Supra engine into the GT engine bay. Can it be done? Will it work? This question has been plaguing me for a while now, and I just have to know the answers. Thanks, Inferno |

Yeah, im not an expert on the 3s-gte swap........but i do know that it will drop in the Celica GT pretty easily, because the stock engine mounts and tranny will work with the 3s engine. So if not for cost reasons, i would opt for the 3s because its way lighter than the supra engine, and it is pretty compatible with the celica since they put it in the GT-4 in Japan/Europe. And plus, swapping the 3s-gte should be cake if your dad is a mechanic, and you could probably expect somewhere around 3-5k for the swap, maybe less since labor would be free. So get some more info from this site if you are really serious about it, its been covered extensively in the past, and good luck with getting your celica
