i use both on my st205 hood...doing well so far.
@ 808, could be the fact you got some defect....return to owner and ask for a new set. I had order one and when installing, I couldn't even pull it down with the heavy hood...got a new set and it finally worked. holds it up well and easy to bring down. bet you anything it is probably bad shocks. down side is having to pay for shipping. send a message and provide proof of purchase. Meaning I will be selling mines soon, possibly the ones for an aluminum hood -------------------- I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
