I'm new here.

I've recently purchased my first Celica, being a 1997 Celica GT. I've always wanted to have a car that I could work on, so this seems like something I can learn and have fun with. I've never really worked on cars at all besides minor maintenance and the like, so fair warning. wink.gif

So far I have an Injen short ram intake, and NGK Iridium IX plugs and wires. The rest is all stock, so plenty room for improvement. I wanted to start this thread as a sort of project thread, and to also collect ideas and knowledge from you all on what I should do next!

I'd also like to mention that I'm interested in keeping this strictly as a 5SFE build for now.

Any suggestions? smile.gif

WHA! Hope you have some dark sunglasses to protect your eyes from that interior!!!! Have you considered a 5SFTE build? You can put a quality reliable setup together for $4000~ Will make that a peppy fun little car! However, I'd start with giving her a much needed bath tongue.gif

Haha. I actually just finished washing the car inside and out! And as for the interior, it came that way. I've been planning to re-do it in the next couple weeks. Question on that though. Since those were painted and all, paint thinner is alright to use on them right? Logically, I'd say yes, but experience-wise (especially with trim) I have no idea.

Haha, I figured the interior came that way since you said you just bought her. It's only paint, it can be changed smile.gif Looks like a nice clean car to start with for a nice project! Good luck and have fun with her!
