 Motor swap in CA |

I drive a 95 celica st and was wondering what toyota motor will be a direct swap for my 7afe motor. I want something with more horsepower and dont want to do alot of work. any suggestions? i live in cali so the 3sgte motor will not be an option.

Some sort of v6 should pass smog and be way faster than the 7a but swaps usually require alot of work to be done right.

Yeah i was just planning on finding a motor thats a direct bolt on to my stock tranny until i have money to fix it up more. I just read a post about the 4age motor being a direct bolt on and producing alot more horse than my 7afe motor. Planning on just swapping that motor in if it passes smog |
