not sure if its been done but since my brother owns a standard cab tacoma, we have been discussing a few motor swap options to make his truck a beast. just wanted to get some opinions/ thoughts on this. the goal is at least 300 reliable hp N/A or much more reliable with boost. not sure which yet.

go to tacomaworld.com There is a bunch of threads there that might interest you. Mostly, however people are interested in higher torque numbers than higher hp numbers.
Honestly I dont know if dropping a bazillion hp into a tacoma is a good idea. All tacomas are very tail happy. I have to drive like a slow poke in mine especially after it rains and I only have 236hp v6 which is actually heavier since it has a 4x4 in it. My step father's tacoma is 2wd and man it feels worse than mine. You can bolt on a supercharger and crank out 300hp, 350 if you change internals, run engine tune etc etc. -------------------- Captain Pessimist
