My tranny started popping out of 3rd and 5th a few weeks ago, and my mechanic said the synchro was bad. Basically, I'm looking at a rebuild, which makes me wonder if I should replace my 176k mile 7A-FE simultaneously. What would I need to get a 3S-GTE into my ST?

In this case you can easily search your answer, but in many cases the search function on this forum is very limited and poor. I know, and I've found a lot of info about some of the stuff I'd need to do. I am trying to put together a compete list of every little piece I'd have to buy (preferably from someone who has done it themselves) so I can get a cost estimate. Also, how concerned should I be about the legality of the emissions from a Japanese 3SGTE? Even links to other posts that answer my questions would be appreciated! |
