what do you think of a 5sfe polished valve cover ????????? i grinned the ribs off the front and drilled 2 holes for -10 an lines

nice.. what are you using to polish with?
perhaps it is the camera but i do not see any swerles or small scuffs from the media used to polish with. i did some polishing of SS and aluminum. and did it like this: 1:start with fine brass wire brush on right angle air tool. 2:medium grade steal wool. 3:then 0000 steal wool, with mothers aluminum polish. 4:finish with neverdul 5:final was only if i could, buff with bench grinder and drill mounted buffing wheel.. i like for the most part how mine turned out but still have aspects about it that i dont like... primarily the fact that i can get it nice and smooth and polished, but in the light you can still see swerles.. so what did you do to get such a nice finish? and deff keep it up, its a nice start.. cant wait to see the finished product!! -------------------- |
