i was thinking about a couple of months ago while it was raining like hell out here in southern cali "it would be a lot smarter to have on only my fog lamps in the fog instead of having my bright ass 6000k hid's" so i was wondering if anyone has done this yet, if so can you please let me know how to do so i appreciate your time and effort.

depends on what relay you run it to. you might end up having to turn on something else before the fogs on. to fix your problem don't use a relay cus on a relay it relies on something else. on a direct wire and power, all it relies on is turning on the switch, which sounds like your goal.
