Bit of a newbie here. Bought my Celica a couple of days ago. The log book says it's a GT but the chassis code says ST202. Does that mean it's an ST and not a GT then?

mine E-ST202-BLMVF So they're very close, there's some trim differences such as the A/C. manual AC vs Climate Control system, gearbox final drive and what was changed during the facelift stages. Your's is also a facelift GT, which means it should have EGR on it sadly - which means a slight power reduction
here's another members celica with EGR on what to check for ![]() Japanese SS-II & SS-III 3rd Gen 3S-GE 178BHP @ 7000rpm, 142lbft @ 4800 rpm As fitted in UK GT and Cabriolet 1994 - 171 bhp (173PS) @ 7000 rpm, 137 lbft @ 4800 rpm.
